Rise and shine! How did you sleep last night?

Who doesn't love a good lie in and waking up feeling rested and rejuvenated? Is this something that you tend to experience night after night? Or do you wake up most mornings feeling even more tired than when you went to bed?

Let's have a look at our sleep and see whether we can spot a trend.

In a comfortable seated position, close your eyes and go through in your mind, how you feel in your body. Are you aching anywhere? Is your neck stiff? Do you feel exhausted? Or do you feel well rested? Do you feel different to most mornings, or similar?

Sleeping is important
Who else lists sleeping as one of their favourite pastimes?

Write down what time you went to sleep last night and what time you got up this morning. You might want to go through any exercise you did yesterday, as well as how much coffee/caffeine you had. Also, go through how much time you spent in front of a screen, and what time you stopped having a screen in front of you.

Did you spend time with loved ones? What about the food you had yesterday and in the last few days? Was it quite spicy and/or very filling? How much time passed after your last meal until you went to sleep?

All these questions might shine light on why you're feeling the way you're feeling this morning. See if you can spot a trend. And you might even like to keep a sleep journal for the next week to spot further trends.

Let us know in the comments how you get on!
